🚨 Low Fire Danger

HALLAM RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT
BURN PERMIT

This permit is being issued under the authority granted by Nebraska State Statute 81-S20,0l and is subject to the following rules and regulations adopted by the Hallam Rural Fire District:


The open burn SHALL BE ATTENDED AT ALL Times.

  1. No plastics, rubber, oil, building supplies containing petroleum products, pesticides, herbicides, other hazardous waste, hazardous materials or household garbage shall be included in the fire at any time.

  2. The fire(s) shall be at least 50 ft. from your buildings and 300 ft. from neighboring buildings.

  3. Open burning will not be permitted if the wind speed exceeds

    15 mph, or the real· humidity is less than 50%.

  4. All fires shall be out by the time stated by the fire officer issuing the permit

  5. The Hallam Volunteer Fire Department may extinguish the fire regardless of whether a permit has been issued if, in the officer's judgment, conditions have worsened and have become too hazardous for the fire to continue. This also applies if complaints are received about the fire or smoke, or if any conditions of the permit are violated.


IF THE FIRE BECOMES OUT OF CONTROL, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!
