1. Application acceptance:  By Hallam Fire officers 

2. Interview: Hallam Fire Officers 

3. Rural Board Approval

1. 30% of Fire and Rescue Calls
2. Decision upon weather to be a FF or EMT or Both

3. Training on
a. NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 need to be completed by end of probationary status
b. Must complete Radio Traffic Training Course

c. Must be Trained for operations on all apparatus by end of probationary status
4. Must complete operations test of all apparatus at the end of Probationary status.
5. Become a FF

a. Must attend and Pass FF1 Classes Held by the state of NE
b. All Cost will be reimbursed by the Hallam Fire and Rescue Department
c. Must attend 30% of all Fire calls
d. Must attend 30% of Monthly Membership meetings
e. Must attend 50% of all Fire Trainings

EMT must remain on HVFD for a min of 2 yrs. after course completion. If said EMT resigns before the end of 2 yr. all affiliated course cost must be reimbursed back to HVFD. ( Hallam Vol. Fire & Rescue Dept.)

a. Must complete all monthly training assigned.
 

b. It the Responsibility of the EMS holder to keep up on all CMU and Recertification processes and requirements. 10 hrs. / year for state and 20 hrs. for national.
